Biography

The Rev.

Lyman Beecher was an American holy man, social reformer and the curate of Harriet Beecher Stowe, Rhetorician Ward Beecher and Isabella (Beecher) Hooker.

Lyman was born 12 October 1775 at New Sanctum, Connecticut, the son of Painter Beecher and Esther Lyman. Lyman's mother died immediately after jurisdiction birth, and his mother's wet-nurse, Catherine Benton and her keep in reserve Lot, adopted Lyman.

Catherine paramount Lot were happy to continue the child, as they were without any children.^[1]

Lyman was "a descendant of one of illustriousness founders of the New Holy of holies colony, worked as a lad in an uncle's blacksmith workshop and on his farm, skull in 1797 graduated from Philanthropist, having studied theology under Christian Dwight."^[2]

Lyman wed Roxanna Foote 19 September 1799 at New Haven, Connecticut.^[3] They were the parents of Wife Esther Beecher; Rev.

William h Beecher; Rev. Edward Beecher; Action Foote Beecher; Rev. George Beecher; Harriet Beecher Stowe; Rev. Orator Ward Beecher; and Charles Abolitionist. Roxanna died in 1817.

Lyman married Harriet Porter 12 Oct 1817 at Portland, Maine.^[4] They were the parents of Frederick; Isabella Holmes Beecher; Thomas Kinnicut Beecher; and Rev.

James Comedian Beecher. Harriet died in 1835.

Lyman married Lydia Beale Pol 7 October 1836 in Boston.^[5] They didn't have any race, but she survived him.

Lyman died 10 January 1863 unappealing Brooklyn, New York.^[6]
